Abstract
Clinical liver functions and biopsies of liver were examined 72 times in 53 cases of tuberculosis and relationship between the clinical liver functions and histological findings was found with few exceptions.
Clinical liver function tests and histological examinations of the liver by biopsy may compensate each other in the diagnosis of functional and organic changes of liver.
As for the effects of chemotherapy on liver, clinical liver function and biopsy of liver were conducted on TB patients treated with INH. It was found that 2 to 4 weeks after the commencement of INH therapy, temporally in decrease the liver function took place and after 6 weeks the recovery of the liver functions was observed histologically.
