Abstract
The authors are reporting on a case of brain abscess which proved very difficult to diagnose as brain tumor clinically appear to as likely a diagnosis as abscess.
Supprative meningitis occured in the course of the illness, and although it healed under chemotherapy, evidence of intracranial pressure symptoms and manifestation of finite lesion became noticeable.
The authors therefore wondered whether it was a brain tumor or a brain abscess at the time of trepanation, and fortunately, post-operative clinical developments was satisfactory. The genesis of the brain abscess was unknown.
