The authors used 1% Chondroitin Sulphate to prevent the postoperative adhesion in the abdominal cavity. The animal experiments were performed on about 20 rabbits which confirmed that it is effective at least as long as one month and half after the operation. Chondroitin Sulphate was administered clinically to 34 cases in surgical procedures which obtained fairly good results.
