Abstract
Alkaline phosphatase and 5- nucleotidase activity of peripheral neutrophils were cytochemically studied on healthy persons and severe pulmonary tuberculosis.
1) The alkaline phosphatase activity of peripheral neutrophils was significantly increased in the Tbc patients, while 5-nucleotidase activity showed no significant difference between these two groups.
2) No intimate correlation was found between neutrophil counts and enzyme activities not only in the healty persons but also in the Tbc patients.
