Abstract
Recently, diagnosis and treatment for the hepatic disease have been made a remarkable progress.
We started department of liver surgery on Dec. '80, and have had 15 (16 times) for benign and malignant liver diseases during 10 months up to Sept. '81. (One of 15 is operated twice).
These cases of liver disease are liver cell carcinoma 7 (8 times), upper bile duct carcinoma 1, metastatic liver carcinoma 3, hepatic hemangioma 2, intrahepatic calculus 1 and focal nodular hyperplasia 1.
These operation methods are trisegmentectomy of the liver 2, bisegmentectomy 6, monosegmentectomy 5 and subsegmentectomy 3, with operative death is 1 (6%).
Liver cell carcinoma sometimes has severe complications; liver cirrhosis, esophagial varix and diabetes mellitus, therefore a good clinical care for them in pre-, intra-, post-operative stage is very important. That control requires cooperation with all stuffs in the hospital.
