Abstract
Five patients of uterine cervical cancer (stage IIb) underwent intraarterial injection of combination drugs (CDDP 70-80mg, ADM or Epi-ADM 40-50mg, MMC 20mg, 5-FU 500mg) for two times before the operarion or the radiation therapy (as neoadjuvant chemotherapy).
Tumor size and cancer invasion were reduced, and also the value of abnormal tumor marker declined to normal level in all patients as a result.
These results suggest that intraarterial injection of the combination drugs as neoadjuvant chemotherapy may be able to make succeeding operation or radiation more curative and lead better prognosis.
