Abstract
A forty-eight year-old male visited our hospital due to continuous hematemesis from early in the morning. Emergency gastro-intestinal endoscope could not be done because of massive Hematemesis. Sengstaken-Blakemore tube was insented for hemostasis and symptoms improved. As on the re-check with gastro-intestinal endoscope, two fissures with gastric hemorrhage were found at the cardia of the stomach, he was diagnosed as Mallory Weiss syndrome.
We conclude that Mallory-Weiss syndrome can be caused by the bad morning cough of the patients with old lung tuberculosis.
