Abstract
After the Law of Organ Transplantation was effective, all the medical staff of Department of Traumatology&Critical Care Medicine of Tokyo Disaster Medical Center wanted to make complete the precious living will for donation of which was shown by the document. The department was approved as a educational hospital for the special board of JAAM (Japanese Association for Acute Medicine). That was one of the institutional requriment for organ donation.
This article shows,
1) How to make the preparation for organ donation and an agreement of the hospital staff for donation.
2) An explanation of the brain death, the essential document and acutual time table for donation.
3) The result of the NHK's questionable survey, that shows the present condition of the expanded hospitals for the donation.
4) The reasons for the no-donation of brain death and the planning for the improvement for donation are discussed.
