Abstract
This review summarized several points of evidence-based medicine (EBM) in clinical practices to examine EBM effectively. EBM is a guide for how to reach strong evidences, and how to use them efficiently in clinical practices. Busy practitioners, therefore, are the target users of EBM, clinical decisions should be made based on the following three elements; (1) clinical circumstances and ex-pertise, (2) research evidence, and (3) patients'preferences.
There are four steps in examining EBM: 1 clarifying clinical questions, 2 search the evidences, 3 critical appraisal, and 4 applying the evidences into specific patients or clinical problems, Enhancement of clinical decision making and clinical teaching in practice is expected with development of EBM.
