Abstract
By employing Takeya's Fatigue-reaction method, and Zambrni Watanabe's Salivary-reaction method, the authors carried out an investigation of fatiguability caused by surgical operation. They further studied the effects of amino acids upon fatiguability incident to surgical procedure
Results are as follow:
1) No marked difference was noted in the reactions between the urinary and salivary methods. However, a stronger and more lasting reaction was observed in cases of intra-abdominal operation as compared with extra-abdominal operation.
2) The fatigue-reaction was found to be weaker and recovery rapid in cases in which injections of amino acids were given than those in which no such treatment used.
