Abstract
In order to exchange medical data between related institutions, we constructed a new system. The system consists of a POLYCOM VSX7000 video conferencing system and a WOLFVISION VZ-9 visualizer. Then we examined the quality of chest X-ray, head MRI, head CT, medical chart, ECG record paper and color scintigram on the display monitor. The result was acceptable for the head MRI, head CT, medical chart, ECG record paper and color scintigram, but not the chest X-ray. To make the chest X-ray film compatible with this systems the film should be sent as several parts (upper lung field, lower lung field, mediastinum ribs), because of the limit of visualization.
