Abstract
[Purpose] The purpose of this study was to examine the purpose and effect of home modification that physical therapists and occupational therapists think. [Subjects and Methods] Between 1983 and 2014, the purpose and effect of home modification were extracted as data from the case report of 82 cases which the physical or occupational therapist presented at the thesis, academic conference etc. For analysis, KJ method was used [Results] There were many case reports since 2000. Looking at the subjects reported as cases, elderly people aged 60 and older accounted for 70%, and many were reports on the improvement of home modification that were carried out at hospital discharge. [Conclusion] The home modification became a general treatment method of physical therapists and occupational therapists due to the spread of housing renovation by nursing care insurance system.
