Abstract
[Purpose] This study was intended that tested effect to give to muscular strength by an electrode pasting positional difference by the Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation(NMES) . [Subjects and Methods] Intended for 30 normal adults. For the right rectus femoris muscle, which 3 conditions of the group, we attached an electrode on the motor point (MP) direct top and another on the position of MP upper part 5cm, attached an electrode on the position of MP top and bottom for each 2.5cm, without the electrical stimulation. We measured maximal torque in angular velocity 60, 90, 180deg/sec, arrival time to setting angular velocity and compared it before and after intervention. [Results] A significant difference was found in arrival time to angular velocity 180deg after the intervention. [Conclusion] It was suggested that an electrode pasting position at the NMES intervention affected the muscle contraction speed.
