Recent Studies on the Properties of Blast Furnace Coke and Their Future Prospect

Abstract

This paper gives a general description of studies on blast furnace coke properties, encompassing their fundamental characteristics, and recent trends and future direction are also mentioned. As coke is porous composite material, study of crystalline structure, micro- and microstructures, and coke functions is necessary, and for that purpose the theories and techniques of material science have been increasingly utilized.
