Abstract
Based on the experimentally observed behaviors of molten slags in vertical capillaries of refractory substances, the capillarity of corrosive liquids has been semi-empirically analyzed in consideration of the time-dependent changes in the dimensions of infiltrated capillaries and the physical properties of infiltrating liquids. The successful analysis is also extended to the any directional capillarity.
