Abstract

The synthesis and purification of the organic photoconductor Fe(II)Pc is described. A dual layer photoreceptor using Fe (ID Pc dispersed in a polymer binder as the charge generation layer was made and tested. The charge transport material was PVK. These dual-layer photoreceptor devices show near infrared responses, the photoconductive ratio of which amounts to 10-104. Highly photosensitive dual-layer photoreceptor devices incorporating Fe(II)Pc-CuPc composite dispersed in a polymer binder have been prepared and showed significant near infrared response, the photoconductive ratio of which amounts to 105.
