Abstract
Home pages of the International Society of Life Information Science (ISLIS) and the Journal of International Society of Life Information Science (Journal of ISLIS) have been constructed and added to lists of major search engines world wide. The cumulative access number of visitors was over one thousand during the 3 months prior to the end of January 1997. Moreover, some major institutes outside Japan have added ISLIS's home pages to their links recently.
