An Experiment on Meridian Function as a Minute Information System by using LED Signals(<Special Issue>The Sixteenth Symposium on Life Information Science)

Abstract

Meridian theory is important in Oriental traditional medicine. In order to demonstrate that the meridian is functional, reactions wqere tested in which light emitting diode (LED) signals were radiated at meridian point and measured using electroencephalography (EEG) and the single square voltage pulse method. Results had a significant difference according to wavelength. The effectiveness of traditional medicine theory could be examined with a painless photo-signal.
