Abstract
The Pockemon shock is a well-know incident in the history of the Japanese broadcasting industry. In this study, we evaluated electrocardiography (ECG), arterial blood pressure (BP). Eight healthy adult volunteers participated in this experiment with satisfactory informed consent. ECG and BP were recorded for each subject during three different protocols: resting condition (RS), healing video contents shown on a screen (HS), and a mosaic picture shown with inverted music on a screen (IS). All tests were done while subjects were sitting. Time length of the software was about 15 minutes. All data were recorded in a digital data recorder. Fast fourier transform (FFT), and nonlinear mathematical analyzing methodologies including chaos and fractal theory were utilized to evaluate the fluctuations in the hemodynamic parameters. Spectral analysis was performed to evaluate the heart rate variability (HRV) and BP variability during the experiment, however, there were no significant changes during because of wide standard deviation. Fractal dimension of HRV was significantly lower in HS (1.61±0.09), but significantly higher in IS (1.53±0.07) than in RS (1.57±0.04, p<0.05). We must continue our study aiming at safe audiovisual stimulating equipment.
