Abstract
This report details a medical case in which remarkable improvement has been acknowledged in a prostate cancer patient who received spiritual therapy along with endocrine therapy. The 67-years old patient has complained of nighttime pollakiuria and a weak urinary stream since December 2003. The patient had a medical examination in May 2004 and was diagnosed with prostate cancer (stage D_2). Prostate specific antigen (PSA) level was measured at 39.01 ng/ml, the grade of the digital rectal examination (DRE) was hand, and the result of prostate needle biopsy by transrectal ultrasound showed moderately to poorly differentiated adenocatuinoma. (Gleason grade 4+5, score 9). Furthermore, CT and MRI scans confirmed the results, and bone scintigraphy found an abnormal accumulation in the left ischium. Endocrine therapy was begun in June and spiritual therapy was employed five times from July. The results in February 2005 found a reduction in the prostate cancer, and no abnormalities in the bone including the left ischium.
