Analysis of cameraman's zooming work and rate of size variation

Abstract

We are studying about the zooming work of broadcasting cameramen for development an intelligent robot camera. This time, we had a basical zooming experiments which the cameraman shot the static subject in the same size and the same magnification, but in the different picture angle. We learned that the zooming operation was depending on the cameraman's experience for operating rod's movement, but in addition to the visual sensation from the change of subject's size in the image while zooming.
