Abstract
An Optimization of segmentation for a motion vectors field for segmentation-based motion-compensated predictive coding is studied. It breaks the image into many small blocks, and utilizes SSD (sum of squared error) values which correspond to each block and each candidate vector. The optimized method is based on dynamic programming. Its simplification is also studied.
