Abstract
A highly reliable and robust transmission protocol for a digital VCR remote duplication system is proposed. Requirements for the protocol are a high throughput, perfect error correction and an ability of re-transmission from an interruped point due to a line trouble. In this protocol, SSCOP and VFTP and employed to achieve them, where VFTP is a specially designed protocol for efficient recovery of large video data.
