Abstract
White defects on CCD determine the lifetime of TV camera on a space station. CCD is sensitive to cosmic ray compared with other semiconductor devices. However, the results of fight experiment and ground irradiation experiment did noto coincide with each other to generate any defects. The camera had been withdrawn from the space station due to the increasing white defects after 5 years' operation. We will report on the possibility of the long-term use of broadcasting equipment on manned on manned space station MIR.
