Precision Template Matching with Band-limited Interpolation Model

Abstract

This paper proposes a new technique for precision template matching, wherein the translations between the input image and the template are detected with fractional pixel resolution. Assuming the band-limited interpolation model, several equations and their approximations are derived for one- and two-dimensional template matching cases.
