Abstract
Virtual reality (VR) in the field of broadcasting is discussed in this paper from the following three points of view. 1) Interaction between a viewer and a broadcasting center through VR, 2) Interaction between a viewer and a TV set through VR, 3) VR applied to a TV program production. First, we give an overview of a virtual studio technique and then discuss interactive TV. We also introduce TVML (TV program Making Language) which is a key technology for future interactive TV.
