Abstract
A free time-shift DVD Recorder is proposed and produced experimentally. This paper describes new write control method for DVD Video Recorder. Video data is divided into small data blocks and the data block is recorded with gap between them. As a result, both high response to reproduce request and high data transfer rate are realized.
