An application of the gas discharge simulation for PDP cells : Examination of breakdown voltage

Abstract

Paschen curve (relation between breakdown voltage and pd (p : pressure, d : electrode distance)) was calculated by one-dimensional computer simulation using fluid model under the local field approximation. Relations between priming electron density and breakdown voltage were also calculated in a positive column cell by varying the values of pd.
