14-2 Mutual effects between antenna elements and power amplifiers in active phased-array type SNG RF terminal

Abstract

In active phased array flat antennas, mutual effects between antenna elements and power amplifiers mounted on the antenna panel may degrade antenna performance such as pointing accuracy. To evaluate the effect, we calculated and measured the influence on the phase and amplitude of the radiated waves due to mutual coupling between antenna elements.
