23-8 Synthesis of Facial Caricature Using Eigenspaces for Facial Parts

Abstract

A facial caricature represents the individual facial features very well. This paper presents a method to synthesize a facial caricature using the eigenspaces calculated independently for each of shapes and arrangement of facial parts. Feature in an input face image are emphasized by controlling coefficient value for each eigen vector. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
