Abstract
Digital watermarking has been proposed as a means of copyright protection and authentication of multimedia data, since it makes possible to identify the author, owner, distributor and authorized consumer of the data. A new method based on the block correlation of DCT coefficients is presented. The pirates cannot remove the signature easily since the amount of modification is depends on the original image. The embedded sequence can be extracted without using the original image. Experimental results demonstrate that the watermark is robust to JPEG compression.
