25-1 Lossless Coding of Volume Data Using Adaptive Prediction

Abstract

We previously proposed the lossless coding scheme of volume data based on adaptive selection of variable-length-codes. In this paper we introduce an adaptive selection method of predictors which are designed for fourteen kinds of 3D autocorrelation models. In results, the proposed method can improve a coding rate by 0.10〜0.13bits/voxel.
