7-2 A study on Relationship between Shooting conditions and Cardboard Effect in Stereoscopic Images

Abstract

In this paper, we discuss the relationship between the "cardboard effect" and shooting conditions, such as lens focal length, camera separation or lighting conditions. Subjective evaluation tests show that lighting conditions as well as binocular disparity derived from camera separation and lens focal length have important effects on the " cardboard effect".
