Abstract
A method to acquire the residual errors for GMS infrared images has been proposed. To generate accurate coastlines for template matching, we investigated the binarization to remove the effect of lower clouds. As a result, we succeeded in improving accuracy of the residual errors as high as the GMS visible images.
