16-2 A Study on Utilization of Switching Information as Metadata

Abstract

Segment information -metadata- for broadcasting programs must be delivered along with stream data of programs or provided on the Internet web server to utilize such applications as personal digesting or smoother retrieval on storage system. We studied a new method for production of segment metadata for broadcasting programs using information extracted from production switcher.
