Abstract
An optical disk system with blue-violet laser requires lower noise photo detector than that with red laser. In this report, laser power from disk to detector and noise level at that power are considered. As a result of calculation and measurement of equivalent input noise current density, appropriate feedback resistor values are found, and a low-noise/wideband photo detector is manufactured for trial.
