12-3 A study on baseband multiplexing transmission of MPEG-2 TS streams

Abstract

For a baseband transmission of MPEG-2 TS streams over an optical fiber, we developed a experimental equipment. To validate the fundamental functions experimentally, MPEG streams were multiplexed to transmit over an optical fiber. That shows the possibility of re-broadcasting with digital baseband MPEG-2 TS over an optical fiber.
