Abstract
Recently, ion-beam irradiation developed as a new liquid crystal (LC) alignment technique without contact with alignment layer. However, alignment mechanism of LC by the ion-beam irradiation has not been clarified. In this paper, to clarify the alignment mechanism, the correlation between polymer alignment and LC alignment condition was analyzed.
