Abstract
We investigated the effect of text readability of a display on eye-movement behavior. Saccade amplitude and fixation duration were incorporated as the eye-movement parameters to understand how affected by different readability factors. When text readability was lower due to lack of luminance contrast, fixation duration was longer and saccade amplitude was smaller. The lower the text readability due to high percentage of kanji, saccade amplitude was smaller, but fixation duration was not changes.
