5-6 A study on construction of natural image based on discrete cosine transform

Abstract

This paper presents a new image model considering the nonstationary characteristics of images using DCT which is the eigenfunction for natural images. This model gives a reconstructed image by the synthesis of the Gaussian noises, however, it is difficult to obtain the good quality reconstructed image. We propose an image reconstruction method based on our image model including some important factors in images.
