13-4 A Study of the Splicing Method for Heterogeneous Bitstream Programs : Part 2: Splicer Details

Abstract

This paper addresses a high quality splicing method for MPEG-2/H.264 program insertion system. The proposed method introduces picture type conversion and re-quantization technique for frame accurate splicing. Experimental results proved that the proposed method realizes seamless splicing of heterogeneous bitstreams and minimizes picture quality degradation of the spliced programs.
