2-7 A Basic Study on Adaptive IP Imaging

Abstract

As an application of computational photography with variable-focus lens devices, this paper introduces a concept of adaptive IP imaging. It enables scene-adaptive aquistion of multiview images for the use of image-based rendering. Based on the virtual camera model, we describe how to adapt the imaging system to the target scene.
