17-2 A Study on Performance Improvement of CITI Coded PR2ML System for Two Track Perpendicular Recording Model

Abstract

In 2008, we investigated the PR2ML system for two track perpendicular recording model where the recording code was the constructive intertrack interference (CITI) code which converts the six user bits into a pair of four channel bits. In this paper, we propose a new CITI code with the high coding rate which can improve the performance.
