4-1 Consideration of surrounding situation sensing for visually handicapped person using USB camera and ultrasonic ranging sensors

Abstract

A lot of accidents that the visually handicapped person falls to the railway track have occurred. In our research, it aims at the prevention of accidents that falls from such as the platform edge and the descending stairs. In this text, we report on the constructed research system. And, we consider the surrounding situation sensing for visually handicapped person using USB camera and ultrasonic ranging sensors.
