8-5 A study on view-dependent filters for free viewpoint image reconstruction from multi-focus images

Abstract

We proposed a method of generating free viewpoint images directly from multi-focus images by dimension reduction and a 2-D filtering. However, actually, the filter must be view-dependent for improving quality of reconstructed images. In this paper, we propose a new view-dependent filter and discuss its implementation on FPGA.
