10-3 Query-by-Sketch Partial Image Retrieval Using Edge-based Feature Extraction

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to enable partial image retrieval in the query-by-sketch image retrieval. We propose the segmentation method using edge-based feature extraction for query-by-sketch image retrieval. Experimental results of applying to 20,000 images in Corel Photo Gallery show that this method is effective.
