12-7 Reduction of radial disk tilt in flexible optical disks by the aerodynamic stabilizer

Abstract

This paper describes a method to reduce the radial tilt in flexible optical disks that become a problem when near-field recording is applied to flexible optical disks. The radial tilt was suppressed by controlling pressure distribution on the aerodynamic stabilizer surface.
