7-8 Study and Experiment of 5% roll-off factor Satellite Transmission (SNG)

Abstract

A standard of DVB-S.2 defines roll-off over 20%, however a standard of DVB-S.2 Extension, under consideration, defines roll-off 5%. We tested SNG transmission with new technology, include 5% roll of and 32APSK. In this report, we describe the result of the test and DVB-S.2 Extension is quite effective.
