Abstract
We have developed a tactile sensation transmission system that uses ultrasound to enable measurement of hardness of an object in a contactless manner. The display system virtually reproduces a real object on the basis of the measured data and has enabled people to feel 3-D surface and hardness of an object by stimulating reaction force to three points on one finger.
