Usefulness of Rock Evaluation Using Crack detection Spatial Filters for Tunnel Face Image

Abstract

We propose a new evalua tion method of rock condition using new fo ur directional Sobel filters to detect cracks f o r a tunnel face image captured by a widespread camera. The detected cracks show the property of the rock, and we think that the amount of the cracks are one of some objective index es of rock quality . W e confi rmed the usefulness of rock crack for sequent real tunnel face image.
